This beautiful 8,9 cm (3,50 inch) Otodus Sokolovi tooth, found in Morocco in 2021, has managed to retain its beautiful shape and sharp edges for millions of years. You can still clearly see and feel the saw edges in the tooth. In addition, the tooth still has a beautiful sharp tip.
Otodus Sokolovi is an extinct species of large shark and descends from the Otodontidae family, which is a gene branch of the mackerel shark. This also makes the Sokolovi related to the Megalodon. When you look for fossils of the Sokolovi, you will mainly find teeth. You can recognise the teeth by the straighter root and narrower straight tooth with clear sharp edges. You can also feel the clearly present saw edges, if not worn down.
