Megalodon tooth (US) "Brown Drake" - 12,8 cm (5,04 inch)
This magnificent 12.8 CM (5,04 inch) Megalodon tooth was found in the US, Florida - in 2021. The fossil tooth comes from a large Megalodon shark (Otodus Megalodon) that could grow as long as 20 metres and weigh 60,000 kilos. The teeth of the Megalodon kept changing with regularity. A new one was ready for every damage. There is a good chance that this tooth was damaged in a fight with another animal or a hunt. This would mean that this tooth could then carry a very nice story with it.
This Megalodon tooth is 90% complete and features a beautiful deep black colour. It is still a very large tooth! This tooth comes from a very large Megalodon shark and is still very neatly held together despite millions of years.
Important: this Megalodon tooth is 100% natural (nothing has been restored/improved).

Meaning of 'Megalodon'
'Megalodon' has a short but very clear meaning: 'Big Teeth'. The oldest teeth ever found date to 20 million years ago. The largest Megalodon tooth ever found was a whopping 19 centimetres in size. Because, apart from the teeth, no complete fossilised bones have been found, this species received the name 'Megalodon', which also means: 'Big Teeth'.
The teeth of the Megalodon are virtually the only fossils found of this magnificent species, and those teeth speak volumes.
